Public Comment Policy:  Public comment for the March 24^th meeting will be available via zoom. Individuals must contact the City Clerk’s Office at 785-368-3940 or via email at cclerk@topeka.org by no later than 5:00pm on March 23^rd after which the City Clerk’s Office will provide Zoom link information and protocols prior to the March 24^th meeting. No in-person public comment will be allowed as the meeting will be conducted entirely virtual.

Written public comment may also be considered to the extent it is submitted personally to the City Clerk’s Office located at 215 SE 7^th Street, Room 166, Topeka, Kansas 66603 or via email at cclerk@topeka.org by no later than March 23^rd for attachment to the meeting minutes.

The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) has adopted use of the 711 dialing code for access to Telecommunications Relay Services (TRS). TRS permits persons with hearing or speech disability to use the telephone system via a text telephone (TTY) or other device to call persons with or without such disabilities. A special meeting of the Governing Body has been called by City Manager Brent Trout on March 29, 2021, to conduct an Executive Session to discuss upcoming employer-employee negotiations.

AGENDA: (1) Call to Order (2) Roll Call (3) Executive Session for a period of time not to exceed 60 minutes to discuss upcoming employer-employee negotiations, as justified by KSA 75-4319(b)(3), in order to protect the privacy of those discussed.  The following individuals will be present to aid in the discussion:  Members of the Governing Body; City Manager, Brent Trout; Chief of Staff, Bill Cochran; Administrative & Financial Services Director, Jessica Lamendola; City Attorney, Lisa Robertson; Human Resources Director, Jacque Russell; Interim Police Chief, Bryan Wheeles; Senior Assistant City Attorney, Catherine Walter; and Budget and Performance Manager, Stephen Wade. No action is anticipated to be taken when the open meeting resumes in the Governing Body Chambers. (4) Adjournment

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic 2021 Governing Body Meetings will be conducted in-person and virtually via the Zoom meeting application until further notice.  Zoom meeting application details will be distributed by the City Clerk’s office on the day of each meeting. Meeting will be held on the first, three (3) Tuesdays of each month at 6:00 p.m.

Please be advised the July 20, 2021, meeting has been rescheduled to July 27, 2021 pursuant to Resolution No. 9215; and the August 3, 2021 and November 2, 2021 meetings have been cancelled pursuant to Resolution No. 9205.
